Description: Papers of Walter H. Wangelin (1860-1934) of Detroit, Michigan contain one journal volume (1904-11) of correspondence soliciting funding and support to continue his testing to obtain a patent on the "Wangelin Desulpherization Process," a method of removing sulphur from molten iron, and concerning his chemical analyses of samples from midwest iron foundries including Crown Foundry and United Iron Working.
