Description: Papers (1949-1979) of Patricia Webster Tabler (BS Lib. Sci. '51) include correspondence and newsclippings related to books, Busey Hall, classes, Dairy Wives, dating, international students, the Korean War, the library, literature, married student life, McKinley Presbyterian Church and Foundation, movies, registration, theatre, travel to Chicago, and the campus YMCA and YWCA. The letters also cover her life after graduation during which she worked at various campus libraries while her husband Kenneth Tabler (PhD Dairy Science '54) finished his degree. They later moved to Maryland where she was active in the Church and Synagogue Library Association (CSLA) at the local, regional and national level, holding national offices and working to start religious libraries at numerous churches. The Pat Tabler Memorial Scholarship Award was created by the CSLA in 1988 to honor her memory.
