Description: Papers of John Burrell (1910-1972), director of the Krannert Center for the Performing Arts (1968-1972), including schedules, reports, newspaper clippings, photographs, proposals, correspondence and subject files relating to the Krannert Center budget, staff and productions. Correspondents include Sir Laurence Olivier, Maureen O'Sullivan, Herman Krannert, Robert Brustein and Ben Tanner. The papers include hand-written notes (ca. 1968-1972) concerning personnel, budgets, productions, schedules and moving into the Krannert Center.
