Description:

The Law Schools Inspection File (1927-30, 1932-82) contains the correspondence and inspection reports for schools applying for membership or renewal of membership in AALS. Correspondents include AALS secretaries Samuel D. Thurman (1959-61), Arthur T. Martin (1942-45), and Frank R. Strong (1957-59), Executive Director Michael H. Cardozo (1963-73), and deans of the law schools. The reports include questionnaires and information on enrollment, curriculum, faculty credentials, faculty compensation, and physical facilities.
