Description:

Papers of Melvin Lorenius Enger (1881-1956), professor of mechanical and hydraulic engineering (1907-1926), head of the Department of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics (1926-34), and Dean of the college of Engineering and Director of the Engineering Experiment Station (1934-49), including correspondence, drawings (1934), photographs and working papers (1929-35) relating to the sectional committee on specifications for cast iron pipe, Meehanite and related matters.

The series includes photographs, graphs, tables and calculations in water flow and vertical jet research (1908-18) and photographs of hydraulic laboratory research projects.
