Description: Correspondence and memoranda sent to and received from departments and units offering programs of graduate study, including proposals for graduate programs; dropping and adding courses; changes in course credit, descriptions, and prerequisites; procedures for examinations; appointments to the Graduate Faculty; and the establishment of the Graduate College at the Chicago Circle campus in 1967-68. The series contains extensive documentation on the establishment of the M.B.A. program at Urbana-Champaign. The series usually includes a general correspondence folder and a "courses" folder for each department or unit. Principal correspondents are deans, associate deans, and administrative assistants of the Graduate College; and deans of colleges, chairpersons and heads of departments, and directors of institutes and centers offering graduate programs. Boxes 1-7 contain materials from the Urbana-Champaign campus; Box 8 contains materials from the Chicago Circle campus.
