Description: Description: Papers of Kim B. Rotzoll (1935-2003), Dean of the College of Communications (1992-2003), Head of the Department of Advertising (1983-92), Associate Dean of the College of Communications (1980-83), and Professor of Advertising (1971-2003), include publications, manuscripts, speeches, correspondence and course materials relating to the Departments of Advertising at the University of Illinois and Pennsylvania State University (1954-71), the College of Communications at the University of Illinois, Institute for Communications Research (1984-2001), James Webb Young Fund (1979-2001), Sandage Symposia, Cummings Center for Advertising Studies (1995-98), WILL Television, and Roger Ebert's Overlooked Film Festival (1997-2002). The series also includes materials relating to the publication of Rotzoll's textbooks, Advertising Theory and Practice and Advertising in Contemporary Society, and his "From the Campus" column in Advertising Age. Correspondents include Xu-Bai Yi, Barrows Mussey, Vincent Norris, Ivan Preston, and Muzafer Sherif.
