Description: 3 1/4 x 4 glass slides and glass negatives concerning the history of printing and modern printing techniques and style maintained by the Library Science Library and used for lectures by Graduate School of Library Science faculty. The series includes photographs of printed material such as books, bookplates, illustrations, advertisements, newspapers, pamphlets, government documents, handwritten manuscripts and ledgers and illustrations showing printing equipment and type styles and sizes (ca. 1925-1935). The collection also includes photographs of famous landmarks (ca. 1915); a slide presentation prepared by State of Illinois social service agencies showing progress over 100 years in the organization of state welfare and social service agencies (1933) and 2 3/4 x 2 3/4 slides showing audio-visual storage and use facilities at Decatur, Bloomington, and Mattoon schools and University High School.
