Papers of William Ross Ashby (1903-1972), Professor of Electrical Engineering (1961-1970) including biographical data; bibliographies; publications; photographs; course materials relating to "Fundamentals of Cybernetics" (1966-67), "Problems of Cybernetics" (1966-69), and "Electrical Engineering Problems" (1960-70); remembrances by Ashby's students (Stafford Beer, George J. Klir, and C.C. Walker); and correspondence of Ashby's wife, Rosebud, concerning Ashby's accomplishments and research in the areas of cybernetics, homeostasis, electrical engineering, biophysics, and computer science.
