The family tapes include comments by Dorothy Wegman Raphaelson and Joel and Mary Kay Raphaelson. The papers include a subject index to the transcriptions; transcribed tapes; correspondence (1919-57); published short stories, newspaper articles and film criticism (1921-76); manuscripts of "One in a Billion" (1974), "The Old Gentleman" (1974), "Mollywood Encounter"(1976), a translation and an adaptation of Verneuil's "Long Live the King," and "The Human Nature of Playwriting" (1949); and translation, programs, manuscripts, and finished versions of "The Jazz Singer" (1925), "The Magnificent Heel" (1930), "The Wooden Slipper" (1934), "Accent on Youth" (1935), "White Man" (1938), "Skylark" (1939), "Jason" (1942), "The Perfect Marriage" (1944), "Hilda Crane" (1950), "The Peanut Bag" (1967), and an unproduced "Israeli-American Play (1971). The papers also include bank statements (1935-43), investment accounts (1934-38), tax (1941-42), royalty (1934-44) and wage (1945) statements, check stubs (1934-44) and canceled checks (1934-45).
