Description: Papers of William Heston McPherson (1902-94), professor of labor and industrial relations (1946-71), include correspondence, photographs, bulletins, and newspaper clippings regarding the ad-hoc Academic Professional and Administrative Personnel Committee (1970-71), Ad-hoc University Committee on Retiree Benefits (1968, 1970-75), International Society for Labor Law and Social Security (1963-78, 1982-83), and Japanese Programs and field trips (1946, 1954-56, 1962). This series also includes negative microfilm of minutes of contract negotiation meetings (1946) between the Chicago Motor Coach Co. and Division 1281 of the Amalgamated Association of Street, Electric Railway and Motor Coach Employees of America, negative microfilm of a Statistical Notebook (1948) of Staley Co. with data on number of employees, age, turnover rate, safety, overtime, military service, and hourly and salary pay rates for 1919-1948 and an audio cassette tape of the William McPherson Memorial Service (1994).
