AAASS and Slavic Review Administrative Files contain administrative records of the American Association for the Advancement of Slavic Studies and its publication, the Slavic Review, including announcements, memoranda, directories, membership lists, minutes and agendas, newsletters (1960-1995), by-laws, financial records, questionnaires and correspondence of AAASS secretary Ralph T. Fisher and Slavic Review editors Donald Trendgold, James Millar and David Ransel, concerning editorial transitions (1964-1965, 1974-1977), obituaries, the CIA (1972), prominent writers and directors (including letters from Joyce Carol Oates, Robert Bly, Isaac Bashevis Singer, Stanley Kubrick, William Dickey, Arthur Miller, Romm Polanski, Francois Truffaut, Norman Mailer, others; 1972), conferences and editorial board meetings, the Third World Congress of Soviet and European Studies, the Coalition for the Advancement of Foreign Languages and International Studies.
