Papers of Hiram Gene Slottow (1921-1989), professor of electrical engineering (1968-86) and engineer with the Coordinated Sciences Laboratory and the Computer-Based Education Research Laboratory (1968-1986), containing notes, drafts, publications, reports, correspondence with Fujitsu Limited (1968-78), calculations, patents, photographs, certificates, diplomas, and tributes concerning the Plasma Delay Line, the development of the Plasma Display Panel with Robert Wilson (B.S. 1959, M.S. 1961, Ph.D. 1966) and Donald Bitzer (B.S. 1955, M.S. 1956, Ph.D. 1960), PLATO, electrical engineering department instructional material, and Slottow's retirement. Also includes a commemorative plasma display panel autographed by Slottow's colleagues.
