Alphabetical
Records (1897-1987) of the UI chapter (Beta Lambda) of Kappa Kappa Gamma include its charter (1899); minutes (1919-46); and correspondence concerning its founding (1898-99); financial reports, budgets, and ledgers (1899-1967); chapter histories (1899-1975); ritual book (c1900); chaperon contracts (1933-43); house blueprints (1927); guest books (1899-1939); gift registers(1899-1919); photographs (c1899-1980's) of chapter members and houses; correspondence regarding the centennial celebration (1999); and scrapbooks (1911-14, 1939-69, 1980's) concerning activities and events of chapter members. A notable correspondent is Katherine Lucinda Sharp (1865-1914), a former Grand President of the sorority and first director of the UI Library School, who organized the chapter's founding. The series also includes minutes (1938-77), and scrapbooks (1944-78) of the chapter's Alumnae Associaton and minutes (1959-69) and financial records (1923-78) of it's the Building Association.
