Biographical Information:

Luca Del Negro played tuba with the Sousa Band between 1900 and 1908 and the Band's 1929 radio broadcasts. Other music ensembles he played for included Innes' Band, Conway's Band, and several unidentified New York theatre orchestras.

F. Besson trumpet (accession 2004.120990.001) given to Luca Del Negro who played tuba for the John Philip Sousa Band, as Grand Prize during the 1905 Exposition universelle et internationale held in Liege, Belgium.
