Papers of Donald W. Kerst (1911-93), professor of physics (1938-57), including correspondence and laboratory notebooks (1939-47) on betatron design and research, Physics Department matters, Office for Scientific Research and Development reports, and the Midwest Universities Research Association - MURA (1953-59). The papers include patents, correspondence (1940-45), blueprints, information on betatron construction, drafts of articles, research notes, memoranda to coworkers, and correspondence while Kerst was working at the University of Illinois (1938-39, 1941-42, 1945-56), at the General Electric laboratories in Schenectady (1940-41), at Los Alamos New Mexico (1943-45), and Madison, Wisconsin with the MURA (1956-57).
