Caption accompanying image reads: Okie Jones of Fairmount, an employee of Champaign Asphalt Co., uses a road grader to strip away the artificial turf from Zuppke Field in University of Illinois's Memorial Stadium here 4/17. Rennovation [sic] of the field includes improving the drainage and putting down new artificial turf. Work is to be completed by Aug. 1, in time for fall football practice and opening of the 1985 season Sept. 7 against University of Southern California.
