Caption accompanying image reads: "Galesburg, Ill., April--2--Little Betty and Mrs. Chase lend their pre-game support to husband Jack (No. 4) a member of the wheelchair basketball team at the Galesburg division of the University of Illinois. The University "Gizz Kids" last night defeated the Evansville, Inf. "Rolling Rockets" 32 to 18 in the opening round of the country's first national invitational wheelchair basketball tournament being held April 1-3 at Galesburg, Ill. Six of the nation's top teams of paralyzed veterans from Chicago, Evansville, Hannibal, Mo., Minneapolis, Kansas City, Mo., and Galesburg are competing for the wheelchair basketball championship."
