Sepia-tone photograph of naturalist Charles Francis Adams (1867-93), graduate of the University of Illinois (1883), who later became a museum curator in Auckland, New Zealand (1885-87), bird specimen collector in Borneo (1887-88), and prepared exhibits for Harvard University, the Smithsonian, and the Chicago Worlds Fair of 1893.
