Janata, Earl Porter, and Martin Wagner including meeting minutes, newspaper clippings, lists of committee members and candidates, correspondence and minutes of meetings; newspaper accounts; and correspondence of Janata Porter, Wagner, Park Livingston, Herbert B. Megren and Amos H. Watts.  The files concern suggestions of possible candidates for the presidency, acknowledgments, committee procedures, meeting agendas, and recommendations.  The materials cover the selection of presidents David D. Henry, John Corbally, and Stanley O. Ikenberry.

Also included in the series is one folder of correspondence, reports and lists relating to the selection of George D. Stoddard as President in 1945.
