Building Program Committee Subject File including correspondence, reports, proceedings, studies, statistical tables, charts, lists, blueprints and photographs relating to Prof. Whitney C. Huntington's service as committee chairman (1948-56). The correspondence with the president, Physical Plant director, Comptroller, Architect, Provost, deans and directors, relates to planning for University growth, projected needs, site locations, land acquisitions, financing, priorities, engineering reports, space utilization, plans and blueprints, objections to buildings, traffic patterns, parking, construction and remodeling of buildings and Chicago building projects.

The series also includes cards, schedules, reports, and summaries of space utilization in classrooms, lecture halls and laboratories (1931-41).
