Description: Records of Phi Lambda Upsilon, honorary chemistry fraternity founded at the University of Illinois (1899), including constitutions & by-laws (1913-81); history & activities booklets (1950-83); ritual manuals (1936-77); membership records on microfilm (1898-1994) correspondence of officers; national convention minutes; chapter letters (1911-13, 1942-60); chapter correspondence files & petitions for membership; chapter site information; convention files, photographs & tapes (1913, 1935-86); honorary membership files (1960-76) & minutes books of Delta Chapter at the University of Michigan (1909-23). The records include photographs of conventions & individuals, a carrying case of glass slides (ca. 1939), an album-scrapbook (ca. 1939) membership certificates (1916) & a felt convention banner. The banner is held in the Artifacts series. Membership certificates from 1916 are housed in Oversize Material Box OS-101.
