The University of Illinois Archives, in coordination with other subject matter experts and service providers, provides Records and Information Management Services for the University. Records and Information Management Services offer guidance on the management of active and inactive University records. These services are informed by University and Campus policies and procedures related to information security and personal privacy, by legal and regulatory requirements for managing information and records, and by the need to provide efficient and timely access to records and information resources.
Remember: To comply with University of Illinois policy and state law, all Urbana Campus and Central Administration offices are required to secure the approval of the University Archivist before destroying or discarding records used in the transaction of university business.
For questions or specific requests for assistance, please contact Joanne Kaczmarek, Archivist for Electronic Records at: jkaczmar@illinois.edu or call 333-0798.
