The Panhellenic Association provides campus coordination for sorority affairs. Panhellenic Files, 1927-70 (41/2/3, 5.4), relate to constitutions, agendas and minutes of meetings, policy statements, correspondence, financial records, summary data sheets, publications, press releases, newspaper clippings, scrapbooks, goals, rushing, pledging, banquets and workshops, Greek Ball, Greek Week, racial and religious discrimination, qualifications and evaluations of sorority, fraternity and independent women's house directors and Big Ten Interfraternity-Panhellenic Conferences. Panhellenic Organizations File, 1960-69 (41/2/4, 1), includes membership, visitation and disciplinary reports for twenty-five sororities.

Fourteen sorority newsletters contain information about university events, chapter and student activities, athletic and academic competition and awards and house social functions.

Sorority histories provide sources for the study of sorority life at Illinois. Delta Gamma History, 1906-16 (41/72/19, .1), concerns the founding of the Iota Chapter at Illinois in 1906. Kappa Alpha Theta History, 1895-1925 (41/72/27, .5), contains a 286-page account of sorority life, chapter houses and social activities, a university photo album (1905), correspondence, and newspaper clippings on sorority members, houses, social events, 1914 fire, and dances. Kappa Alpha Theta Programs 1896-1920 (41/72/27, .1), include dance programs (1896-1920), dramatic programs (1919), pledge regulations (1916), "advice to freshmen" (ca. 1916), and a Homecoming badge (1917). Pi Beta Phi Ledger, 1921 (41/72/38, .1), shows name and address of members, date, purpose and amount of payments received.
