Price, agent of the ALA Library War Service Philadelphia Dispatch Office, contains correspondence from Carl Milam, Assistant to the Director of the ALA Library War Service, includes book requests and shipments, reports and instructions and funds and subscriptions, a letter from Milam to Mr. Ashurst, Price's supervisor at the Philadelphia Free Library, praising Price's work for the Library War Service.

Biographical Note for Price, Franklin H. : Franklin H. Price worked for the Philadelphia Free Library. He was an agent of the ALA Library War Service at the Philadelphia Dispatch Office. In 1918, he was appointed Supervisor of the Library War Service in the Naval and Marine Corps Stations in the vicinity of Philadelphia as part of the ALA Merchant Marine Service, which was discontinued after December 1, 1920 [1]. He was also a charter member of the Philadelphia Council of Museums, created in 1939 [2].
