Description:

Gerontological Committee File, including correspondence, minutes, reports, bibliographies and memoranda concerning budget allocations, research assistantships, committee proceedings, conferences on aging and the aged and research done by committee members.

The committee was established by the Illinois General Assembly in April 1957 to arrange conferences and institutes, establish research programs, publish pamphlets of benefit to the aged and to study the establishment of a Gerontological Center at the University.
