Scope and Contents

Papers of Frank William Scott (1877-1950), professor of English (1912-1925), including manuscripts relating to the history of American newspapers (1895-1920) and magazines, manners and morals in America (1721-1800), British journalism, Daniel Defoe and Isaiah Thomas. The manuscripts were used for lectures and articles. Prof. Scott was in charge of journalism courses, 1905-1918 and 1921-25.

This series includes three books by Scott (1922, 1926, 1935).
