Esther R. Steinberg (1923-2017) was a Professor of Educational Psychology at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC). She was also a Senior Specialist in the Computer-based Education Research Laboratory at UIUC.
Esther R. Steinberg was born on November 20, 1923. She earned her B.S. (1944) and M.S. (1945) degrees in Mathematics from the University of Minnesota, and her Ph.D. (1974) in Educational Psychology from UIUC.
She was married to Marvin P. Steinberg and they had three children: Lou (Rivka) Steinberg, Sue (Bruce) Aft, and Ruth (Warren) Solom.
Esther R. Steinberg died June 13, 2017.
