Scope and Contents

The Umoja newsletter was launched in Fall 1994. The newsletters included calendar of events, student articles, an executive committee report, letters from the ASO President, and information from the faculty advisor.

The Lalela newsletter started in 1985. The newsletter included an editorial column, student articles, semester events, activities, and country profiles. There was a pause in publication between November 1987 until February 1989, when African Students Organization (ASO) and African/African Related Women's Association (AARWA) reinitiated the newsletter.
