Merritt (1933-), professor of political science and research professor in communications (1969-), relating to his service as program chairman of the annual American Political Science Association Conference, Sept. 8-12, 1970; the Annual Conference of the International Studies Association held in New York, N.Y. (March 14-17, 1973); the I.S.A. Leadership Conference held in Lexington, Kentucky (June 12-16, 1972); the Aug. 12-18, 1979 11th World conference of the International Political Science Association (IPSA) in Moscow; participation in IPSA world congress, round tables, committees, including the executive committee, and workshops (1977-91); and the Midwest Political Science Association (1981), including correspondence, schedules, memoranda, announcements, newsletters, program arrangements and papers, finances, and reports. Also included are materials related to editorial work on Comparing Nations (1966), Living with The Wall (1985), Science Politics and International Conferences (c. 1988), the International Political Science Review (1980-85, 1991), and Advances in Political Science: An International Series (#1-3, 5-9; 1982-91), including correspondence, drafts, reviews, reports and notes.
