Legislative campaign file or records of biennial legislative "campaigns" for University of Illinois appropriations, including correspondence with alumni, parents of students, legislators and friends of the University, primarily from David Kinley, George O. Huff, and Clarence Roseberry, executive manager of the Alumni Association. The detailed University records were on attitudes and voting records of individual assemblymen and included a comprehensive report each year indicating the activity and results of individual efforts at lobbying. A card file contains biographies of state legislators (1921) and a resume of Illinois newspaper editors favorable to the University (1921).
The series also contains a card file of alumni and friends willing to lobby for the University, arranged by legislative district.
