Papers of Dorothy Miller Black (1900-1990), A.M. '28, Associate Reference Librarian (1927-68), including a copy of her Guide to Lists of Master's Theses (Chicago : A.L.A., 1965) and a tape recorded interview (1984) on the history of the Chapel of St. John the Divine, Episcopal Student Center, and Episcopal Church Foundation. Subjects treated include Chapel and Foundation buildings; clergy and lay staff members; the Chapel's 1929 fund-raising fiasco; the roles of Arthur Crathorne and President Harry Chase in the Chapel trends in the Episcopal Church and their effect on the life of the Chapel; and reminiscences concerning Marcus S. and Olive R. Goldman.
