"Partners with India, Building Agricultural Universities" by Hadley Read is a volume, written for the Council of United States Universities for Rural Development in India, on the technical aid given to India in building and developing agricultural universities by University of Illinois, Ohio State University, Kansas State University, University of Missouri, Pennsylvania State University and the University of Tennessee. The volume covers the historical setting in both countries, the projects of the individual universities, the prospects for the nine agricultural universities established and the author's view of the Indo-American experience. The volume includes a chronology of significant events, lists of participating staff members and tables showing United States technical assistance and growth trends for the Indian universities.
