Caption on back reads: "Learning to be Civil Service radio technicians for the Army Signal Corps at Wright Field, Dayton, Ohio through training at the University of Illinois are Pauline Kalb, 872 South Park Street, Springfield, Ill., (left) and Vera Britton, 221 Walnut Avenue, Elgin, Ill. They are shown in a University laboratory with Prof. C. A. Keener, head of the special training program which is being given by the Division of University Extension as a part of the Engineering, Science, and Management War Training work for which funds are provided by the U. S. Office of Education."
