Caption on back: Prof. Edward C. Jordan (left), head, Department of Electrical Engineering in the University of Illinois at Urbana, and Prof. Sidney A. Bowhill discuss special antenna for aeronomy research which will be fitted into section just behind nose cone of a rocket like that between them and shot into the radio-reflective ionosphere 100 miles above the earth. Resulting taped records of ion density and other characteristics will be analyzed with equipment in background.
