Fred Volker Luhnow Papers, 1923-26

Papers of Fred Volker Luhnow (1904-1972) consist of a scrapbook/memory book, published by the Dodge Publishing Company of New York, NY, prior to 1923 and filled by Luhnow during his time at the University of Illinois.

Contents include athletic scores (football, basketball, soccer), biographical information (of Luhnow’s roommates/friends), correspondence, newspaper clippings, photographs, programs, and rosters of student groups.  Subjects of photographs are: fraternity houses decorated for the 1926 Homecoming, the “Hobo Parade” at the 1926 Homecoming, individuals (some identified by name), marching band formations, Memorial Stadium, and student groups.
