The series includes notes on the history and policies of the Illini Union movies (1949-56), correspondence with Liam O'Laoghaire concerning his 1961 lecture on "America's Contributions to the Art of the Screen" and general correspondence on University policies and film series. Chairmen of the Council were Clarence W. Stone (1953-56), Henry L. Mueller (1957-58, 1960-63) and Helen M. Welch (1958-60).
