About the ARLIS/NA Archives

ARLIS/NA member George Soete takes notes during the Strategic Planning Task Force's meeting in Santa Barbara, California, 1990.

Art Libraries Society of North America Archives documents the history of the Art Libraries Society of North America and art librarianship. In 2009, the Art Libraries Society of North America transferred its records to the University Archives at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

These records include papers, photographs, and audiovisual materials from ARLIS/NA headquarters and individual ARLIS/NA members. Once processing for a record series is completed, users can find it listed on this website or through the database. Be sure to check back; we continually add new holdings.

The ARLIS/NA Archives is open to public use. Please contact the University of Illinois Archives for additional assistance in searching and using the archives.

For more detailed information about the materials in the archives, please see the holdings page.  Information on searching can be found on the Using the Archives page, or you may contact the ARLIS/NA Archives for assistance.
