Scope and Contents of the Materials
The Wells family photograph albums and scrapbook include photographs of H. G. Wells and Catherine Wells, their sons G.P. Wells and Frank Wells, and other individuals. The photographs encompass a variety of subjects, such as landscapes, exterior and interior architecture, everyday scenes, picnics, formal portraits, and family portraits. Some albums contain labels in several hands. The scrapbook contains a variety of lithograph illustrations, postcards, greeting cards, notes, colored drawings, sketches, picshuas, and photographs. Many items are addressed to or about G.P. Wells.

Photographs were taken in Dublin, Ireland; Great Dunmow, England; Danebury Site, England; Villars-sur-Ollon, Switzerland; and Chalets de Bretayes et le Chamossaire, Switzerland.
