This volume, entitled Miscellany Collections on its first page, contains copied works of prose and poetry dated 1663-1731. Many entries are extracts from letters patent, legal proceedings, and wills; the book also includes biographical notes, epitaphs, and book lists. Some of the poems are works by Alexander Pope. The final pages have a contemporary table of contents.
A bookplate indicates that William Bromley of Baginton, Warwickshire, owned this volume in the early 18th century.
William Bromley (1663-1732) was a native of Baginton, England. A Tory, he represented Warwickshire (1690-1698) and the University of Oxford (1701-1732) in Parliament and also served as Speaker of the House of Commons (1710-1713) and Secretary of State for the Northern Department (1713-1714).
