During an interview with Kathy Harden by the Sousa Archives staff on September 8, 2015 she talks about her early life growing up in Tolono, Illinois and later her life as a musician living in Champaign performing with  such bands as No Secret, Night Flight, H2O, and Diva and the Dude.  She also describes the local Urbana-Champaign music scene during the 1980s and 90s, her parents’ music influences on her, singing in her sister’s and brother-in-law’s band, Kid Sister, and developing her own distinct blues style of singing.  Kathy’s interview provides a wonderful and colorful snapshot of her music career and the many exceptional musicians and bands who called the Urbana-Champaign community their home.
