Cooperation has been extensive, as shown in this agenda (BELOW RIGHT) from a joint meeting between ARLIS/NA and VRA in 1992. The handwritten notes were made by Merrill Wadsworth Smith, who, at the time, was the immediate past president of ARLIS/NA.
As with all organizations, countless volunteer hours go into making things work. These draft minutes (BELOW) for the ARLIS/VRA Joint Task Force on Professional Issues were taken at a meeting in July, 1991.
The warm, collegial relationship between members of ARLIS/NA and VRA is evident in this letter from 1992. At the time of this correspondence (BELOW RIGHT), Betty Jo Irvine was president of ARLIS/NA.
