The Summer Educational Institute (SEI) began in 2004, and the very first SEI, co-sponsored by ARLIS/NA and the VRA Foundation, was held at Duke University. This photo of the participants (LEFT) was taken to commemorate the occasion.
In 2008 James Madison University in Harrisburg, Virginia, hosted SEI, and this brochure (RIGHT) enticed participants to visit its art collection.
